The number of sessions needed varies for each person and condition. Generally, acute issues may require fewer treatments, while chronic conditions may take longer to see improvement. During our initial consultation, we will discuss your specific health needs, create a personalised treatment plan, and provide an estimated number of sessions to help you achieve the best results.

To make the most of your acupuncture session, it’s best to arrive well-hydrated and have a light meal about an hour or two before your appointment (avoiding being too full or on an empty stomach).
Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows access to your arms and legs. Specific acupuncture points may require partial undressing during your session to allow proper access. I will always discuss this with you beforehand to ensure you’re comfortable. If you prefer, we can use alternative points to achieve similar results, so your comfort is my priority.
Avoid vigorous exercise or alcohol right before your session.
Most importantly, come with an open mind and be ready to relax.

Acupuncture is generally very gentle, and most people find the experience relaxing. The needles are extremely thin—about the width of a human hair—and are designed to minimize any discomfort. You might feel a small sensation upon insertion, like a tingling, warmth, or gentle pressure, but it should not be painful. Many clients find the process soothing and often describe a deep sense of relaxation during and after the treatment.

After your session, it is normal to feel relaxed and calm. Some people may experience immediate relief from their symptoms, while for others, the benefits may become more apparent over the following days. It's possible to feel a bit tired or drowsy after treatment, so it's best to plan for some quiet time afterwards. Keeping hydrated and listening to your body is key to enhancing the benefits of your session.
